25 Phoenix members really enjoyed their Saturday Singles Christmas Lunch at The Moat House on Dec 10^th. We had the Trussell Suite to ourselves complete with a roaring log fire, Christmas crackers, an excellent Christmas lunch with all the trimmings and even celebrated one of the diner’s birthdays. It was so good we instantly rebooked the venue for next Christmas.

The Singles and Carers Saturday Luncheon Group enjoying their first lunch back since the pandemic started. The numbers were understandably a little depleted as some members would prefer to venture out later in the year, no doubt when everyone is double vaccinated and had the booster. Never-the-less 17 of us enjoyed meeting up again for good food, friendship and a ‘natter’. Many thanks to Shirley Philpots for all her hard work in running the Phoenix Singles Luncheon Club for the last five years. Shirley handed over to Jenny Bloor at the November Lubcheon, and Jenny has said she hopes to keepup the high standards that Shirley has set.
